Review on Hans Eijkelboom - Review on Paris-New York-Shanghai

This is an interesting book to look at and read through.

It concentrates on three capitals which are Paris/the past; New York/the present and Shanghai/the future.  The book is split into three seperate mini books and joined together with velcro.

It looks at how uniformaly people dress without realising it, for eg the first page in each mini book is men dressed in striped polo shirts and jeans.  Another is men and women wearing combat colours.

There is a thought provoking double spread on homeless people and even people sitting with crossed legs.

I find this a fascinating book and have flipped through it several times.  Even my nephew who is a photography student and doesnt like books, happily turned every page and thought it was good.

I tried to reproduce a similar page while walking around RHS Cardiff, taking images of people pulling little trolleys around with them.

It was surprisingly fun and easy to do.
